Selection of cadets:
Ex-players or recruited individuals acting as
scouts, tour a specific region for hunting talents who when
identified are invited for trials at the academy for their
selection. If the trial candidates impress the coaches with
their default attributes, they selected and grouped age wise.
The cadets are bunched and divided into two groups. The grouping
is done entirely on the basis on their ages. However any player
found to exceed specific expectations by his performance will be
promoted to the higher grade.
Grouping:
There are two age groups for cadet selection for the academy:
Group A: Age 15 years to below 17 years.
Group B: Age 17 years to below 19 years.
The total no of players under each age group is limited to 25.
Training
Schedule :
05-15 am : Morning Practical Session
06-15 am : Reporting & Proceeding to Nehru Stadium
06-30 am : 1st Practical Session [except Monday]
09-00 am : Break Fast
Floating Training Schedule :
A) Muscle Specific Training at Academy Gymnasium
B) Yoga Training
C) Swimming
D) Sand Training at Barrage Area
12-30 pm : Lunch
01-00 pm : Hindi Learning Class
03-15 pm : English Learning Class
04-15 pm : Reporting & proceeding to Nehru Stadium
04-30 pm : 2nd Practical Session
