20-08-2011, Durgapur: 8th Annual day celebrations at MBSFA.

The 8th Annual Day celebration happens at MBSFA from 19th to 20th July 2011. The events included - (a) School Football Festo (19th and 20th July) and (b) Academy Annual Day (20th July).

8 English Medium Schools from Durgapur participated in the School Football Festo. There were three groups - based upon the age group - the groups were from Class II, Class III and Class IV. Manisha International School was the winner - for all age groups.

This was inaugurated by Mr. Rathin Roy, Mayor, Durgapur Municipal Corporation.

On the 20th July, Mr. P. K. Bajaj, President and CEO, Durgapur Steel Plant was present and hoisted the flag. He was associated with Mr. Anjan Mitra, Gen. Secretary of Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, Mr. Debasish Dutta, Treasurer - Mohun Bagan Athletic Club, Mr. Tapan Roy - Incharge, MBSFA, Mr. Jibesh Mishra, ED , DSP SAIL.

A Bangla Band from Kolkata performed as well.

Special prizes were awarded to Ex-Cadet Master Souvik Chakraborty and Cadet Master Souvik Das.

The following Special Announcement were made -

 (1) To celebrate 20th July as Mohun Bagan Youth Day as announced by Mr Anjan Mitra, General Secretary, MBAC.

(2) Cadet Sonu Kumar of U-17 is selected as Best Player of the Year by the MBAC and will be facilitated by the club on 29th July 2011, Mohun Bagan Day.

Last but not the least. Birthday celebration of Club Secretary with cake and presenting portrait of Mr Mitra.
