20-07-2010, Durgapur: 7th Annual day celebrations at MBSFA.
 

The endeavour, which was started by the National Club of India, Mohunbagan AC and the largest integrated iron and steel producer of India, Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL), the MohunBagan SAIL Football Academy(MBSFA) celebrated their 7th anniversary on Tuesday, July 20, 2010.
The colourful celebration was kicked-off by the flag hoisting ceremony by Mr. Tapan Roy, In-charge, MBSFA. To encourage Football among the local schools, the MBSFA organized a two-day long inter school football tournament. This tournament was divided in three groups, grade II, III & IV. Eight different English Medium Schools from Durgapur and its surroundings have taken part in this tournament.
Former Mohunbagan and India captain I. M. Vijayan, Former Mohunbagan player and coach Jahar Das, senior club officials and their families were present on this occasion. 
MBSFA felicitated Mr. I. M. Vijayan and Mr. Jahar Das for their valuable contribution towards Indian Football.
Mr. Vijayan and Mr. Jahar Das both encouraged the participants and the academy wards in their respective speeches. 
The programme ended successfully with Annual Day Cake Cutting Ceremony. During this two days programme the entire academy premises have been decorated by Green & Maroon lights.
